Bring Life to Your Gardens With the Bug Life Mod!

Hello, fellow simmers! If there's one thing I know about plants, is that they often bring some buzzy little fellas with them. I, personally, am not very fond of real-life bugs - I'm extremely allergic to some of them - but I do enjoy seeing and hearing them in the distance when the hot nights come. Now it's time to add all this life to your game - no debug spawners needed!

WHAT DOES THIS MOD DO? The Bug Life mod automatically spawns insects introduced with Outdoor Retreat like ants, ladybugs, bees, and locusts. It will also spawn the new Pond Effects from Cottage Living, except they'll not be directly interactable or collectible like the Outdoor Retreat insects. HOW DO I USE IT? 1. To attract insects to your lot, remember: they tend to stick around ponds, trash, the plants in your garden, and smelly things. But they can also spawn in random spots! Bugs will only appear within the active lot’s bounds, even the ones your Sims travel to. The reactions to the bugs vary from Sim to Sim, depending on their preferences. Sims who dislike insects will get Uncomfortable if they hear or see any bugs. Those who like them can become Inspired by the noises, and will have no problem swatting them away from their terrified non-bug-loving friends. You can use repellents, like the Citronella Candle from Backyard Stuff, to keep the insects away! They'll always avoid incense, candles, and fire! There's also an Exterminator NPC introduced with this mod. For a small fee, they'll take care of all bugs on your property. All you have to do is call Pest Control, and they'll be coming right away! You can add the Bug-Free trait to lots you don't want to spawn insects. Bugs will automatically be disabled for apartments and while visiting Sixam, Magic Realm, Batuu, and the Acting Studio. Pets will also interact autonomously with bugs depending on their traits. Toddlers, on the other hand, don't care what kind of creature it is - they'll talk to it anyway! 4. You can tune the mod however you want, just take a quick look at the download page to get the original settings and further instructions! Once you've adjusted what you want, you're ready to go.
